2009-08-24 [Eyden13]: personality:She is immensely loyal to her friends, and would never betray them, as a result she on Anbu team that specializes in missing nin, which she is captain of, because she can‘t sand those who betray their friends and family. She is very polite and a bit shy because her father moving her to the edge of the village, in an isolated spot in the forest when her mother died when she was ten. Her mother, a medical nin, would collect gems and unique rock when she went off on a mission, which the collection was passed down to Eyden, who now continues the tradition. Eyden is a book worm that will read anything she can get her hands on, she is even fond of Jiraya’s pervy books. She is great friends with Hinata and Kakashi, who she deeply respects, and goofs around with. Her father, a respected jounin, has taken no interest in his daughter since his wife died, causing Eyden to hold resentment against him and think more of her teachers as parents. Since her father hasn’t been there she spends her holidays with either Hinata, Kakashi, or working. She also is a big drinker, but because of her minor medical jutsus she never gets a hang over. She is usually a calm, and sweat person who has a great sense of humor, but when you get her angry she is a force to be reckoned with.

2009-10-03 [Elwyne]: I've got a few black and white shots that I'm not quite satisfied with... they're sort of practice sketches so I know exactly what to do with her when she's done. I'm thinking of giving her large sleeves so she can hide a couple of books in there since the bio says she's a bit of a bookworm (which may be why she makes me think of me when I see what I've drawn but much cuter) the kneelength kimono means that if I put those bags around the thighs that most of the ninja in naruto have you wouldn't be able to see them. I'm still deciding on the right kind of pose for her though. I can do a basic more or less straight standing pose but that would look boring and although it would show off her outfit the best it wouldn't show off her personality at all.

2010-01-21 [Eyden13]: Crusnisk: Similar to a Vampire, in that it feeds off of blood, however this is where the similarity ends for Crusnisk does not feed off of humans rather other Vampires. Crusnisk are rare, they are human in every aspect save they are immortal and their being unique for hunting vampires.
Crusnisk tend to keep to themselves, and are often only seen when hunting a Vampire. What sets a crusnisk apart from any other being most though, is their eyes, which are always bright red around the iris. All crusnisk are skilled in the art of water, many in spirit arts, with the oldest of these being skilled in more than one element. Crusnisk are very fast and skilled at combat, and are usually stronger than most vampires.

2010-11-02 [Elwyne]: yeah, I practice but the problem for me is I work better with something as a model. The reason I started drawing in the first place when I was little was because I don't have a visual imagination. I can't imagine pictures. Any of the other four senses I can imagine quite vividly but not images. So I wanted something for my stories when I was describing the characters and scenery and things. But it makes it harder for me to draw not being able to picture things in my head. I need something to base the picture on to get it right. All my best artwork I base on photos or pictures in magazines that I use the poses off of to get the proportions right before adding my own clothes, facial features, hair styles, and colors.

2010-11-02 [Yuriona]: There are tons and tons of awesome reference photos on DeviantArt. I have quite a collection of them myself. Pose Maniacs is an excellent site for poses as well but they use 3D computer generated models that don't have skin so you can see the musculature.

2010-11-03 [jaraden]: yuriona's right as usual! i've seen the pages myself and there are literally tonnes of different poses there, but i too have no clue anymore how to find it these days. i still have trouble with poses and proportions now and again, and i've been drawing nearly my etire long life, so have faith kid, it's all a growing process! i've got your character's pose down, now all i have to do is design her outfit etc, that's the fun part! i'll have to re-read the bio to get it looking like what you want though... but it'll be in black n white mind, cause like i've said, me photoshoppy is on the fritz!

2010-11-03 [Elwyne]: I'm the reverse of jaraden. I've got the outfit planned out but can't draw the pose and figure properly. And I've been drawing my whole life too. Course, my mother is terrible about explaining what I did wrong and only made things worse, and never was able to afford drawing lessons. Those books that explain things didn't help either. It wasn't until I started watching anime that things started to come together.

2010-11-03 [Yuriona]: now I'm different again. I can get the pose sketched but filling out the figure is hard. I wasn't permitted to take art classes though because my mother was a career minded woman (not a bad thing on retrospect but at the time sucked) so I ended up taking technical drawing instead. I learned how to draw machines for manufacture which is extremely precise and measured. Teaching myself figure drawing though has been a long process but like you Japanese animation was a big help and inspiration.

I was able to invest in some manga drawing manuals and found a wealth of information online in the form of tutorials and advice from other artists. I'm still learning but I'm lovin' every minute of it.

I've seen the movie 'Hoodwinked' about a dozen times then watched a tv movie where the descendents of the original Red Riding Hood were werewolf hunters. GAH!

I just mean I've been inundated with so many variations on this same character, its hard coming up with a new idea for her.

You can use ideas from others, I don't stealing the character, but if it seem not all the original draw what you'd picture Red Riding Hood's daughter to look like. If you want keep the gloves and cape then come up with something else.

If I can't picture the character in my mind, I can't draw her. It's that ridiculously simple and really incredibly frustrating. If I see her, I'll draw her otherwise... *shrugs*

2010-11-16 [Elwyne]: I thought of the pants because the character is a tracker. I just couldn't imagine someone tracking an enemy through the woods in a dress, but I gave her the skirt for the femenine style of it. Also I made the cape a bit easier to move in as well. And I'm the only one who made the comments that I like yours better. I just love the amount of detail you can put into your picture without making it look crappy. I've tried to put more detail in my drawings and it just never comes out right when I do. As for the pose... I'd wanted to make her have her hand up to her ear like she was listening but I couldn't make the arm look right, so I dropped the arm.

2010-11-18 [jaraden]: well i think the pose works fantasticly! i hadn't realised she was a tracker, i never ended up reading the full bio... cause i'm lazy that way.. had i i reckon i would have rethought her outfit, cause now that you mention it, it really doesn't suit a tracker does it!! ha!! the key to the amount of detail i put in is i tend to work larger then when i scan it in the image shrinks making it look really detailed but in actuality the detail i've put in is pretty general! i'm glad you like it though but i have to say, yours is more true to the actual character then mine!! cheers though!

2010-11-18 [Elwyne]: well, I tend to try to think about who the character is before drawing. Like a shy girl would have a shy pose. Shoulders hunched up, hands coming up front. Someone who's playful would probably have a pose doing something playful. Like a character I did for Knightangel who was balancing his sword on his finger with a smile. It makes my characters different from each other. And thinking about what they do is kinda important for the outfit and all. That's how I try to do things anyway. Hrrmmm... well I suppose I can see your point on doing bigger drawings for detail. I confine myself to computer paper cuz that's all I have. It's true that doing full length on computer paper it's hard to fit everything in and still put in the right amount of detail. The face is especially hard, I like doing the faces of characters close up when I can.
